Tips for starting the semester!
- Come explore campus before the first day to find your parking and class locations.
- Don’t forget to purchase a parking permit that meets your specific needs.
- Explore the ‘quick links’ on your student portal for instant access to courses and other important resources.
- Review the syllabi for each course, paying special attention to due dates, absence and grade policies.
- Review the academic calendar for critical dates such as add/drop, withdrawal, and registration deadlines.
- Make plans to participate in Gold Rush welcome events!

- Sign up to attend New Student Orientation. During Orientation, students will attend information sessions to promote academic success and learn more about attending UNC Charlotte and registering for classes
