The Office of Adult Students and Extended Services (OASES) is committed to supporting and enhancing the educational experiences of the adult learner. The adult student undergraduate population is an important part of our diverse community.

Who are Adult Students? Adult students at UNC Charlotte are identified as 24 years of age and above. Nationally, adult students have a diverse background that renders their needs as different than the traditional student population. Many work full time, have families or dependents, are paying for their educational journey themselves, and have other responsibilities to consider when choosing to further their education. The OASES office has particular services and programs designed for adult learners.

Faculty and staff can register to attend our regular presentation (Understanding and Supporting Adult and Nontraditional Students) through Human Resources. You can also contact our office directly to request a presentation!
